2015 Isuzu Dmax Specs – Isuzu Malaysia has officially unveiled a special edition (not to be confused with the limited edition) version of its popular D-Max flagship, the Isuzu D-Max Diablo. There are two engines available, the 2.5-litre and the 3.0-litre VGS turbo diesel, with the former priced at RM110,000 and the latter priced at RM117,000.
The final D-Max took the form of the Artic 3.0L, which went on sale last September in 500 units. However, the D-Max Diablo does not have such special features, so there are no production restrictions.

Most of the changes here are superficial, so I’ll keep them brief. The Diablo is only available in one color, and it lives up to its name: Cosmic Black Mica. Both the 2.5L and 3.0L look the same inside and out, but more on the latter later.

On the outside, the variant-specific details include front bumper guards in brushed aluminum, Diablo body decals, LED daytime running lights, roof rails, door sills, side steps, and 255/65 R17 wraps. inch Lenso alloy wheels. RM5, 500 D-LOC cargo cover, rubber and aerospoiler. Note that all the accessories offered here are priced at RM10,150 and all come standard on the Diablo. The exterior chrome bits are also dark gray to match the body color.
Inside, the Diablo has quite a different appeal. In Isuzu’s own words, the Diablo is “wrapped in blood red premium Italian leather”, which is complemented by an LED illuminated dashboard and a RM2,500 Blaupunkt multimedia DVD player.
The only difference between the 2.5L and 3.0L Diablo versions is the air conditioning unit. The 2.5L has manual climate control while the 3.0L has automatic climate control. Both versions feature an embroidered Diablo carpet and reverse cam.
There are no changes under the hood here. The 2.5-litre unit produces 134bhp at 3600rpm and 320Nm of torque between 1800 and 2800rpm, while the 3.0-litre unit taken from the V-Cross variant will produce 174bhp in 3rd gear. 380 Nm of torque at 600 rpm and 1800 to 2800 rpm. The engine is the same, a 5-speed sequential-shift automatic that distributes power to all four wheels.

On the safety front, the Diablo is equipped with dual SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist, ESC, traction control system, child ISOFIX mounts and reverse sensors. The Diablo is only available in Cosmic Black Mica, priced at RM110,000 for the 2.5L and RM117,000 for the 3.0L. Both variants come with Isuzu’s 3-year/100,000 km warranty program. The engine should remain unchanged from the current factory V-Cross – a 3.0-liter 4JJ1-TCX VGS 4-cylinder turbodiesel that produces 177 PS at 3,600 rpm and 380 Nm of torque at 1,800-2,800 rpm. Transmission options also remain the same, offering either a 5-speed automatic transmission with manual mode or a 5-speed manual shifter. All V-Cross models come with four-wheel drive as standard.
