Three weeks ago, 30 kilometers from the center of Sydney in the countryside. of Edmondson Park, Frasers Property Australia has opened the doors to its showroom to the public. This new town center development with residential and retail environments has been designed by HDR Inc, where I am part of the team of architects. I haven’t really talked much about my architectural work before, but a new town center in a previously underdeveloped part of Sydney might be worth a blog post.

Despite working on the development, I may not be allowed to use any marketing material, so you’ll have to visit the Frasers website to see all the beautiful photos and marketing.
However, I took some screenshots, so here it is! Let’s start by seeing what you’re getting into. On the left are some houses of the city. They are three-story buildings that surround the city center. If you use a little imagination, you can read that there is a big word “Ed”. before it is written in bright yellow. Ed’s beautiful mind, and the anthropomorphism of the neighborhood. On the right, you can see a cafe next to the exhibition center itself, which apparently serves some delicious food that the local community likes – but it was closed when I arrived.
Let’s zoom! The orange letter “T” is the train station, so you can see that the city center is literally right next to it. The white buildings haven’t been released yet, so stay tuned.
Here is another view from the balcony of one of the townhouses overlooking the display. In the background you can see a large crater that will be formed, surrounded by the Cumberland Plain Woodland. I hear koalas may live there. The release of Display Village homes has been accelerated by strong demand, and every townhouse offered so far in the game-changing community in Sydney’s southwest has already sold.
