Janelle Owen will enter the office of First Nation Pope from LJ Hooker. Janelle, a real estate agent since 2004, has been a local resident for 27 years.
She attended primary and secondary schools in Strathalbyn, now Eastern Fleurieu, and chose to raise her family there – her two children, Banjo (seven years old) and Ginger (four years old) with his partner, Tony.
“Tony and I love this place. Our way of life is a fascinating place between land and sea. We get to live on a large plot of land and spend our weekends on the peninsula. Goolwa Beach is less than 30 minutes away,” shared Janelle.

Janelle is actively involved in the local community including the County Chamber of Commerce and is the President of the Strathalbyn Children’s Center. He’s looking for any opportunity to help tighten the knot even more.
“I used to organize Christmas carols for the Angas Flows community event. As a small place, we have a lot of hearts. This is where you feel important.”
“I am delighted to be a member of the First National Pope to continue working in the community that has changed my life for the better,” he said.
Janelle herself is a mother, she understands what new families need. David, Principal of First Pope Community, says that Janelle would be a great addition to the group.

“We are all very excited to welcome Janelle to this line. A woman who grew up there herself has seen the place change and continues to choose it as her home,” Mong added.
“Finding a spokesperson for the region was very important to us. And so is Janelle, in every sense of the word.
