Qantas’ New Route From Perth To Rome Launches
Rome, the capital of Italy, is rich in history and has many monuments such as the Colosseum, St. Peter’s Basilica and the Trevi Fountain. It’s one of the most romantic cities in the world, full of inspiring art, vibrant street life, picturesque streets, cafés, and pizza, pasta, ice cream and wine. The city is full of culture and European art, where you will come to see many masterpieces and sculptures by Michelangelo, paintings by Caravaggio, frescoes by Raphael and Bernini’s fountain. Rome is the perfect destination for your next vacation, with great people watching, al fresco dining and many attractions.
The best times to visit Rome are September to November and April to May, when the crowds are smaller and the weather is sunny but not too hot. In April, you can enjoy Easter festivities and the warm weather is a great time to visit the Colosseum and grab a coffee in an outdoor café. July and August are very hot and humid, and most of the locals have left the city, so it’s a bit quieter, with temperatures around 40°C. Winter (Dec-February) is a great time to visit the tourist attractions, without the crowds, to shop in the many boutiques and enjoy Italian food. Temperatures range from 8 to 14°C, so be sure to bring a jacket.
