Hyatt Regency Long Beach – Hyatt Regency Long Beach has a prime location on Long Beach’s waterfront with nearby dining, shopping and entertainment options. The hotel offers easy access to all major area attractions, including the Convention Center, Aquarium of the Pacific, Shoreline Village and Pike Entertainment Center. It would also be a great place to stay pre- or post-cruise while leaving the Long Beach cruise/ferry terminal.
The lobby is large and open, with a check-in desk located at the back end of the lobby upon entry. If you arrive early before check-in time, your luggage can be stored, allowing you to enjoy local activities while you wait. Getting to Shoreline Village is a breeze from the hotel to the skywalk for dining and shopping.

A large lake surrounds the 17-story glass tower building and in the warmer months you can take a boat out into the lake to relax on the water.
There is a heated pool, hot tub and fire pit available to guests, as well as a fitness center.
The Club Lounge is located on the top floor, access is reserved for Hyatt Gold Passport Diamond members or guests booked in Regency Club rooms. Access to the Club Lounge can help you save money as you have access to breakfast, snacks/drinks and evening hors d’oeuvres and desserts throughout the day.
Parking is available in a covered garage, with self parking for $26 and valet parking for $29.

I would say the hotel is geared towards business/leisure travelers and is a good representation of the Hyatt Regency brand of hotels.
Cove Coffee Bar+ Lounge: A comfort food menu for on-the-go snacks and drinks or quick-bites on-the-go and dinner.
There are several dining options within walking distance of the hotel that we were able to take advantage of during our stay:
Aquarium of the Pacific: One of the largest aquariums in the world, home to more than 11,000 creatures from the Pacific Ocean.

Shoreline Village: Waterfront shops, restaurants, and a beautiful boardwalk that stretches along the city’s shores.
Pike: Includes restaurants, shopping, a movie theater, and a Ferris wheel. There is also another Hyatt hotel on the pike, the Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach, which is a boutique style hotel similar to the Andaz.
Queen Mary: Visit the maritime history near the ferry/ship port or consider an overnight stay as part of a former cruise ship that is now also a hotel.
Long Beach Cruise/Ferry Terminal: Princess, Royal Caribbean and Carnival cruise lines stop here. You can stay at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach- pre- or post-cruise or go out for dinner or take a ferry to nearby Catalina Island.

There are tons of things to do in Long Beach and on our recent trip, we visited the Aquarium of the Pacific, Shoreline Village, and Pike before heading to Anaheim and visiting Disneyland for the second part of our trip.
The main advantage of this hotel and its location is that it is within walking distance of everything you want to see in Long Beach and it is close to the harbor so you can easily get to the trip you are planning. it continues.
I was able to book this stay using the Points + Cash rate and, given my Hyatt Diamond status, I was upgraded to the Regency Club Floor Lounge, which is a nice perk. Rates vary by season, so using points or a points + cash balance as part of the Hyatt Gold Passport Loyalty Program is a good option.
