Growing up on a cattle farm in South Australia, Henry Honner and his five siblings had different priorities for spending their pocket money. Henry must get a new TV As a deal with his father, buy two new dairy cows – Juno and May – they are cash cows that will bring home the dream after morning and afternoon milking.

Henry’s childhood has influenced more than the name of the restaurant His time collecting oysters and foraging for fresh ingredients fueled his passion for producing the quality he brings to the table.

Henry was previously head chef at Italia 1 in Camberwell, and started Barrio in Ivanhoe before returning to Camberwell with Juno and May. It serves modern Australia with the hope of injecting passion and interest into a new flavor. The menu for this season leans towards Asian inspiration, and one example is the Raspberry Lentil scallops are excellent with a smooth puree, and the Nam Jim apples are fresh and tangy.
One of the most popular dishes in Asia is the lamb chops. They are perfectly cooked and come with pulled lamb, slow-roasted ‘moussaka’ and potato gratin on the side. Fish pie croquettes contain exposed pieces of seafood, accompanied by house-smoked salmon and fresh, raw asparagus. Spaghettini with blue swimmer crab, lemon, chili, garlic and parsley is simple and delicious.
Char-roasted 16-hour beef short ribs fall off the bone They come with creamy house mash and fresh, vibrant chimichurri Perfect for wine nights and cool spring evenings
Today’s special dessert is apple and almond tart, aniseed anglaise, mint, apple and sultana. The shortcrust cake is perfect, and the vanilla ice cream brings the necessary freshness and foil to the rich aniseed anglaise. We also went for one of our regular desserts – Broach Bread and Butter Pudding We loved the different textures of the pudding, the crunchy bits on the sides and the custard part underneath. A thick, wobbly orange panna cotta completes the picture with candied pecans and more vanilla bean ice cream.
