Kikki K Washi Tape – While frequenting my favorite stationery stores, I spotted a planner on clearance at Kiki K for just $10 (say what?!) I know they usually sell out before they drop this low!! It was an ex. The display stock is still in mint condition, so of course I picked it up!
The 2-page weekly planner is formatted to have AM and PM sections for each day. While the planner is dated 2017 to 2018 (academic year), Kiki K releases the same interior layout styles of their planners every year and only changes the cover design.

This week was eventful – Christmas, my birthday, a week long trip to Melbourne, a road trip through country Victoria (my first almost completely internet free holiday in 4 years!).

I simplified the spread. I was in a festive mood so indulged in using only red and green.
I used Doodlebug’s all-time favorite washi tape. It comes in a rainbow pack with Zebra Sarasa nibs (that’s why it’s my favorite!). These pens are really nice to write with – very smooth and beautiful colors. The Kiki K Planner wasn’t too bad when it came to pen testing – there was a bit of ghosting, but not enough to bother.
However, the pages of the planner are yellow, which becomes very obvious when you use white to hide typos 🙁
I used the notes section to create my Boxing Day sales checklist. I was looking for lots of travel gear for my upcoming trip to Europe – and of course the planner sale 🙂

I love this planner for its simplicity. I don’t think I’ll be able to use it every week as the space for each day’s writing quickly fills up – especially when I add stickers. I don’t like printing worldwide holidays and a birthday section every day on a weekly spread – it takes up too much precious planning space. The yellow pages are a turn off for me – it becomes more obvious if you make a mistake or use whiteout to cover up messy handwriting.
