Whether you’re considering a new or pre-owned Land Rover, or need your existing vehicle serviced, our friendly team are here to help. In 2015, DMA Brisbane; Assisted McKerrell Architects to deliver the new Australian Volkswagen showroom on Breakfast Creek Road. Upon completion of this project, the old Volkswagen building next door was left vacant and presented to Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) to create their own showroom.

Working again in partnership with McKerrell Architects, we provided design and construction services for the complete redevelopment of the site in 2016. At the end of the work All that remains of the existing building is a basement car park shared with neighboring Volkswagen and Subaru dealerships.
As a premium car manufacturer, Jaguar Land Rover needs a design that complements the luxury status of its cars. JLR previously occupied a single-storey building with low-rise shop fronts; The new design focuses on increasing the connection between interior and exterior and improving road presence. This vision was achieved by incorporating a large double glazed showroom floor. The design of the new building focused on height and transparency, so the main challenge we had to overcome was to seamlessly integrate and hide the services within the fabric of the minimal building.
One of the key design elements used to promote a car showroom to a potential buyer is the lighting used to highlight the exhibits. We worked with a specialist lighting contractor and architect to implement a custom modern lighting design. The result of the final installation is a light display that is used to complement the glowing vehicles, creating an environment where the potential customer’s attention is fully focused.
Significantly less than light, but not important; We provide home heating, We worked closely with the architect and structural engineer to conceal the hydraulics within the building without compromising ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) services and ceiling height.

A key factor that led to the final construction success was that all members of the design team fully embraced the 3D design and coordinated closely in Revit. Regular sharing of models and open communication between team members unsurprisingly lead to collaborative on-site design development.
Without 3D planning, Many designs of embedded systems cannot be implemented in this project. Designing in Revit allows us to fully ‘test’ the practicality of systems before they are manufactured and installed; This means that there are few problems or adjustments needed on the site. In addition, This allows us to integrate with the architectural and structural elements of the building and maximize ceiling height with extremely limited amenity space. Basement entrances and delivery bays where the ceiling mounting area for AC systems is limited to 125-250 mm. During the project, our team was able to consistently meet the client’s expectations by working within the limited space. The end result is huge; Service design to ensure a bold and visually appealing showroom.
