Marseden State High School has implemented recycling after reviewing its waste practices and showing improvements.
The school’s cleaning team found that the recycling bins were contaminated with non-recyclables because they were covered with garbage every day and the administration paid high fees for waste disposal.

To change this, the school developed a humorous project to educate students and raise awareness about sustainable waste.
One of the plans is to install 240 easily identifiable red lid and yellow lid bins with labels to separate recyclables from general waste.
