Mitsubishi Tv Ad 2016 – After a week of testing the Mitsubishi ASX ZC-H, here’s what we think about this compact crossover.
The ASX is a compact crossover from Mitsubishi with a lot to offer, including a range of economical engines, an optional 4-wheel drive system, premium comfort and funky styling to please the more fashion-conscious of us.

The model we tested was the ASX ZC-H, the top of the range model. It adds leather seats, a 4-wheel drive system and an impressive panoramic roof with LED accent lights on both sides. This option tops the already well-equipped ASX range which includes a 7-inch Mitsubishi Multi Communication System with DAB and Bluetooth, heated seats, tire pressure monitoring system, keyless entry system key, Xenon headlights and 18-inch alloy wheels. Not bad at all.
Mitsubishi L200 Series 5 (2016) Review
The ASX is powered by a 2.2-litre DOHC engine that produces 147bhp and 360Nm of torque. This power comes through an automatic gearbox and an electronically activated 4-wheel drive system. The ASX can reach 60mph in 10.8 seconds and will reach a top speed of 118mph. The car can also achieve 49mpg combined while creating 152g/km of CO2.
ASX has a very simple driving feeling from the moment you step inside the car. The 2.2 liter diesel engine seems to have power from the lower part of the rev range. Combined with a 6-speed automatic gearbox, the car moves along with great urgency. Also, the car is quite quiet from inside the cabin. You can tell there is a big effort from Mitsubishi to improve cabin noise.
The power steering setup in the crossover feels very light, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing when you look at the type of driver who wants to use this car. The light steering makes it easier to operate and means that moving the car around town is easier. The electric power steering system also increased fuel efficiency over more conventional hydraulic systems.
During freeway and city driving, the car seems to fit the environment. On the highway – due to the choice of tires and suspension system – the car is relatively quiet. In the city, stopping and starting is no real effort and the 2.2 liter diesel engine, even without stop-start technology, still proves to be very economical.

The ASX has some grunt to back up its Crossover looks and also uses an electrically activated 4-wheel drive system based on Mitsubishi’s All Wheel Control system. This means that the car can switch between front wheel and 4-wheel drive at the push of a button. You can even lock the difference when you put the car on some difficult terrain.
The ASX is also a highly rated car in terms of safety. The car has several support systems that work silently in the background and ensure that you are well protected at all times. This system includes Tire Pressure Monitor, ABS, Traction Control, Hill Start Assist and Active Stability Control. How is it inside?
Inside, the ASX feels much less industrial than the rest of the range, and more like a “normal” car. Despite the fact that the ASX uses the same 7-inch Mitsubishi Multi Communication System as the rest of the range, the interior has a simple feel. I think it comes down to the proportions of the dashboard in this small car, so the system looks more suitable. Just below the screen are 3 basic buttons to control the heating which makes the dashboard look simple and neat.
You’ll notice that the ASX has several additional buttons, including a start button that works with the key in your pocket, and also a 4WD button that cycles through 3 different drive modes.
Mitsubishi Outlander Review
Passenger space in both the front and rear of the car feels quite spacious, which I must say is quite an achievement for a small Crossover.
Finally, the boot is large and provides 442-litres of space which in the real world feels like a lot of space when carrying a large amount of stuff around. In addition, underneath is a useful 26 liter storage solution to neatly store bits and pieces out of the way.
The ASX experience is quite unique, the car offers basic driving sensations in a stylish and practical body. The ASX drives like it competes in the smaller, easier hatchback market, but has more maturity in its styling, design and character.
The Mitsubishi ASX Crossover has distinctive styling that helps set the car apart in a very busy market. The interior comfort and practicality of the car scores very high and helps make your busy life easier. The tested 2.2 liter engine provides a very pleasant driving experience with minimal impact on running costs. All this combined with a high level of equipment at a competitive price of £24,899 makes the ASX a strong choice when looking for a new car. preparation costs, and emissions test costs.
