When I was in NZ, I often went for a trip with other mothers on the beach and they used what many families have there, the Mountain Buggy range. They seem to be very easy to navigate along the sand and they are light to push.

I feel a bit like a posh mom pushing things around the streets, it looks really smart, especially with the leather scheme and shiny green leather. I even had my father stop me and ask me where I found it!
We’ve been using it for a few weeks now, so I feel we’re in a good position to review this buggy. Well, the first is pretty big, but in a good way, like a Royals Royce!
You expect it to be difficult to maneuver because of its size but it is the opposite. Pushing is easy, you can do it with one hand and just glide. It also feels super light.
One good point about its size is that it can hold up to 25kg, as well as almost an adult, so we’ll get a lot of use out of it.

Even the brake system is a little tricky to control; green to go, red to stop! No more struggling and stamping on stupid wheel brakes that don’t work properly.
The harness has a 5 point harness for extra security and is very easy to adjust. Esmé looked very comfortable inside, and easily returned to the comfort of sleep.
I love the little peek-a-boo vibration on the top, I can check if he’s sleeping without disturbing him. The canvas hood is easy to remove and you can keep the sun cover on and off as an extra.
There is plenty of space below to fit a diaper bag with a capacity of 10kgs. A small bag for a rain cover that usually takes up space and interferes with the rest of the car.

There is a water bottle holder for mom or dad to drink… Actually if you think about it, this buggy is perfect for walking because of its capabilities. There is no reason now! In fact, I want to walk to the grocery store soon.
Reading strategy – we all love to know about it! Well, it looks like a little hidden button and you can do it with one hand. I did the trick in hiding the bit on the first try. We made the stupid mistake of going straight to the airport when it first opened.
The airport staff asked us to camp as they wanted to take us to jail. How hard can it be? Well because it’s hidden it takes a while to understand and then there’s always the argument, “it’s open, you must have read the instructions” anyway after a bit of fiddling we figured it out. As they say, it’s easy if you know how. It’s just below where the baby walks behind the padding, if you look.
The only other feature that takes a little getting used to is the three wheel buggy. Just like the front wheel when you get on and off the bus, you have to balance it. It took me two turns and then I did it.

Anyway we all love it and use it regularly, even Shaun who hates babywearing. I think this buggy is ideal for an active family, whether you want to play in the park or want to walk in the city or the country, it’s enough.
