Dozens of people camped out overnight to secure closure at the town’s latest Somerset property launch, which sold out in three hours.
Ray White, Geelong sales agent Laurie McGovan said he had never seen this level of demand.
Future neighbors Lauren Somerton and Ben Geall and their partner Monika Stevanja have camped overnight for safety in the Somerset area of Bannockburn.
“Previously we might have sold out half of the premiere stage, but this time they sold out in three hours at 11am,” he said.

McGovan said the intense competition for the 32 blocks reflects Bannockburn’s growing appeal among people looking to escape the city limits.
“The real estate is behind the new shopping center and the new school is in that development, so with these new facilities, it has become more popular,” he said.
“We usually have bigger blocks, these are up to 760 square metres, so it offers a bit more land and some of the buyers are from Mount Duneed.”
