Skinb5 Acne Control Tablets – A few months ago, Michelle from SkinB5 contacted me to ask if I wanted to try their acne clearing line. As someone who has always had problematic skin, I took the opportunity. Just this past year I’ve been dealing with a bad persistent pimple on my face and what I’m pretty sure was a cystic pimple on one part of my neck! It’s not fun, and if you’re like me, it starts to break your heart after a while. I treated this with Paula’s Choice Extra Strength Clear Kit, but wanted to see how the SkinB5 products compared. Also, SkinB5 seemed to bring something new to the table: treating the skin from within.
The products were accompanied by an extensive folder full of product information and success stories. I emailed Michelle from SkinB5 with a few questions along the way and I have to say the customer service and support was extremely friendly and helpful. Here is a look at the products and my experience with them….
Skinb5 Acne Control Tablets
A gentle, antioxidant-rich cleanser that deeply removes excess oil and problem-causing bacteria. A soothing combination of green tea, vitamin B5 and Aloe Vera refines skin texture and helps skin heal, while salicylic acid removes dead skin and prevents breakouts.
Skinb5 Acne Control Moisturiser
This was probably my least favorite product from the line, not because it’s bad (it’s not), but because I’m so used to gel or cream cleansers, so it felt weird to use foam. One pump dispensed enough product to clean my entire face, which proved to be great value for money. Since it’s a foaming cleanser, it’s bulkier on the face than the gel, so my biggest concern was not getting it in my eyes (thankfully it didn’t). Once I got used to the different textures, cleansing with the SkinB5 Acne Control Cleansing Foam was a breeze. The claim is that this product removes dead skin and excess oil, unclogs and tightens pores. I found it to be a satisfying cleanser that was gentle and left my skin feeling soft and balanced.

I really like using this green mask. Because it dries quickly, it meant I could wet my face, pat it down, then detangle my hair ready for the shower, and when I did, it was ready to wash out! I love pampering, but somehow I feel like I’m wasting my time waiting half an hour for a mask to do its job. The mask itself is quite thin and spreads easily. I’ve been using it weekly but I’m thinking of increasing it to every other week as I think it works great on my skin. It seems to do a good job of removing impurities and refining my skin, giving it a healthier look. This is a great product for anyone with acne prone skin and I will continue to use it.

Skinb5 Acne Control Extra Strength Tablets X 180
This is another product in the range that took some getting used to, but once I got used to it, I enjoyed it. This moisturizer is super thin and lightweight. When I first dispensed one pump, I thought the small amount wouldn’t cover my entire face, but I was pleasantly surprised. The spritz should be spread lightly over the entire face, and it is absorbed very quickly. I absolutely love this moisturizer and the results it delivers. I realized that:
~ Really even skin tone. I barely need to use concealer and I’m much more confident in how my skin looks without makeup.
~ Smaller pores. My pores are much less visible as this moisturizer seems to “tighten” my skin (no, not tight though).
~ More balanced skin. My skin is less oily, and my makeup stays on better and lasts longer. Much less powdering is needed during the day!

Skinb5 Acne Control Cleansing Mousse 150ml
Caplets are used to treat mild acne and help maintain healthy skin, while tablets are tougher and hold promise for treating severe acne. You can now crush these and add them to smoothies, but I honestly couldn’t get enough of them. Once I got used to adding the Caplet to my daily meds, it wasn’t a problem and I basically didn’t even think about it. After I finished all the pills, I started the pills, which was actually good timing since I had acne on my chin.
While using the SkinB5 product line, my skin was the clearest it had been in a long time. I noticed a more balanced complexion, definitely not as oily as usual. My skin tone was very even and overall my skin looked very healthy and clear. I used much less concealer and got away with BB cream instead of medium coverage foundation because my skin just didn’t need that much “coverage”. Looking back on it now, I might switch back to the cleansing foam (I still use the moisturizer and the mask) as I really liked my skin. It’s gotten a little tighter since I started throwing a few different products into the mix and I miss having clear, even-toned, healthy skin! I recommend these products to anyone with problem skin, persistent acne, or severe, hard acne.
