Our training includes face-to-face group training, online content delivery, mentoring sessions, on-the-job training and practical placements. We aim to be flexible in your training and adjust to help you meet your course qualifications quickly and easily.
This qualification comprises 17 units of qualification (15 core units and two elective units). To complete the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, you must demonstrate competence in all 18 units, plus a minimum of 160 hours of compulsory work placement in a regulated education and care service.

ECEC is, understandably, a highly regulated sector. Individuals working as early childhood educators, even at entry level, holding or working towards a Certificate III qualification in ECEC, and at least 50% of in-service teachers having at least Should be qualified with Diploma. There is also a strict teacher ratio for children at all times of the day based on age group. Without adequate staff, ECEC services need to reduce capacity, limiting options for working parents.
